Bi-Annual Steelville ABC and Doubles Tournament, May 2-3, 2008

The Steelville Country Club held its bi-annual ABC and Doubles 
tournament on May 2-3, 2008.  There were 8 teams in the ABC event which 
was held on Friday night.  Taking third place was Wayne Cupp, Jerry 
Beasley, and Dennis Sandstrom.  Second place went to Rich Steger, Donna 
Beasley, and Ollie Stovall.  First place honors went to Woodie Cockrum, 
Debbie Honer, and Travis Ware.

The Doubles event took place on Saturday.  Third place went to Rich 
Steger and Dan Neaf.  Second place went to Florence Hicks and Shirley 
Cothran.  First place went to the undefeated team of Larry Cothran and 
Lisa Stringer.  I would like to thank Dan Neaf, Steve Kane and Wayne 
Cupp for helping run the tournament.  Special thanks to Kathy Anderson, 
Lisa Stringer, and Larry Cothran, and the entire staff at the club.  Not 
only was the food excellent, the club also donated $100 to each event in 
prize money.  Hope to see everyone back in August.
